Steam in these rooms can trigger
false alarms.
Rooms with an open chimney Open fire can trigger false alarms.
In the immediate vicinity of halogen
lamps, transformers, halogen rope
lights, fluorescent lamps and ener-
gy-saving bulbs
The electromagnetic sources of
interference can trigger false alarms.
A minimum distance of 50 cm must
be maintained.
Garages
Vehicle exhaust gases (smoke) can
trigger false alarms.
Dusty/dirty rooms
The measuring chamber can quickly
become dirty or a false alarm can be
triggered.
Near to windows, ventilators, fans
and all other areas exposed to
strong air flow
Any drafts will prevent smoke from
penetrating the measuring chamber.
Swirled-up dust particles can trigger
false alarms.
Near areas where people smoke
Tobacco smoke can trigger false
alarms.
Near solid steel beams, large metal
surfaces etc.
These elements can significantly
impair the transmission and/or
reception of the wireless signal. If
necessary, try moving the smoke
detector a few centimetres
