Leakage sensor
compared to the alarm limits. Which mean
sound level is to be used for comparison can
be selected in 'Alarm release':
− Average of current/last tight-closing:
The mean value calculated from the cur-
rent sound level and from the last four
sound levels measured while the valve is
tightly shut is used for monitoring
(Fig.18: Tight-closing event 31 and
sound level E to I).
− Average of current/last tight-closing:
The mean value calculated from all
sound levels measured while the valve is
tightly shut is used for monitoring
(Fig.18:
Tight-closing event 31 and
sound level A to I).
− Moving average short-term histogram:
The mean value calculated from the last
30 sound levels measured during short-
term monitoring (see section7.2) is used
for monitoring (Fig.18: Tight-closing
event 2 to Tight-closing event 31 with all
sound levels).
− Moving average long-term histogram:
The mean value calculated from all the
sound levels measured during long-term
monitoring (see section7.3) is used for
monitoring (Fig.18: Tight-closing event 1
to Tight-closing event 31 with all sound
levels).
The 'No alarm release' setting deactivates
the alarm function.

On selecting the alarm limit 'User-
dened', we recommend checking the
correct setting of the alarm limits using an
operating time of one to three months
based on the measured data in 'Level'
diagram (see section7.4).
