4.8.1 Analysis and monitoring
Analysis of the histogram starts directly af-
ter the change to manual or automatic
mode.
A reference zero point must be recorded to
analyze the end position trend. This is re-
corded during the reference test (see sec-
tion2.4.1). In case a reference test has not
been performed, the rst zero point that the
valve moved to serves as the reference value.
The reference value is represented by a
straight line in the end position graph.
If the reference value has been reset by se-
lecting and executing "Reset 'Lower end po-
sition - ref. values'" (see section3.2.1), the
rst zero point that the valve moves to after
the reset serves as the new reference value,
provided it does not exceed the 'Zero point
limit'.
If the analysis of end position trend pinpoints
a fault, the positioner generates the 'Observ-
ing end position' message with the selected
status classication.
