Can I use the Windows 7 desktop?
To set the desktop to appear by default, as in Windows 7, do the
following:
Right-click the desktop taskbar, and then select
Properties
→
Navigation tab
→
When I sign in or close all apps on a screen,
go to the desktop instead of Start
→
Apply .
How can I uninstall an application?

On the desktop, open the Charms and select the Settings
charm.

Select Control Panel
→
Programs
→
Uninstall a program
→
an application
→
Uninstall .
Alternatively, right-click the Start button, and the select
Programs and Features .
Select an application to uninstall
→
uninstall .
My application disappeared from the Start screen.
How can I correct this?
Touch screen:

On the Start screen, swipe upward.

All installed applications will appear.

Touch and hold an application, and then select Pin to start .
Mouse:

On the Start screen, click
at the lower-left edge to view
installed applications.

Right-click an application, and then select Pin to start .
