Open the Charms and then select Settings charm

If there are no available network service providers
listed under
Mobile broadband , turn off the computer,
and insert the SIM card correctly, and then turn on the
computer.

Select a carrier name
→
Connect .
Selecting Connect overseas will automatically start
roaming. In this case, a service fee will be charged.

If the Profile settings screen appears, follow the on-screen
instructions to enter the required information.
When the connection is made,
Connected appears beside the
network name and Internet access is available.

You must subscribe first to use mobile broadband
services. To learn more, open the Charms and select
the
Settings charm
→
Change PC settings
→
View
mobile broadband hardware information
under
Wireless . You can view the IMEI, phone number, and
SIM ICC ID information. The carrier serial number can be
found on the bottom of the computer (corresponding
models only).

Set a SIM card password for security. Open the Charms
and select the
Settings charm
→
Network , and then
touch and hold
Mobile broadband provider . Select
View connection properties
→
Security to set the
password.
