Initial Scan
When your radio is switched on from Standby for the rst time it
will scan the DAB band, searching for usable stations. These will be
stored alpha-numerically. The initial scan will take a few minutes.
During the scan the scan progress will be shown on a bargraph and
the number of stations found will be displayed.
Note: If no stations are found, switch the radio o and move it to
a location with a stronger signal. You may also move the aerial
around. When you switch the radio back on it will automatically
repeat the scan process.
When the scan has completed, the rst station found will play.
The lower line displays the station
name and messages (DLS Text). Other
information can be selected - see Page 24.

The clock time and date are set from DAB
station information. If there are no DAB
stations in your area you can set the clock
manually. Refer to the ‘Setting the Time and
Date’ section.
