Altering the Display Mode
This function alters what is displayed on the bottom line of the
screen. Some display modes depend on what the station broadcasts
— dierent stations display dierent information.
• Press MODE/MENU. The display will show “RECALL
• Rotate TUNE/SELECT until the word “DISPLAY displays.
• Press TUNE/SELECT again.
• Rotate TUNE/SELECT until the chosen display mode displays.
• Press TUNE/SELECT to conrm the new mode and exit.
The Display Modes are:
FREQUENCY: The Station Frequency is displayed
PS: This is an eight-character display that represents a stations call
letters or station name. If the information is available it will display. If
the information is not available the station frequency is displayed.
RADIO TEXT: if the radio station is broadcasting RDS text, this will
appear as scrolling text. If the station is not broadcasting any text,
the message “NO TEXT” will display
PROGRAM TYPE: The type of programme broadcast by the station
by the station e.g. Music, News, etc. (This is dependent on whether
your chosen station is broadcasting this information).
DATE: The Calendar Date will display.
AUDIO INFO: This tells you the Audio mode being broadcast.
Normally this will be “AUTO. This means that the station will usually
broadcast in Stereo but occasionally broadcasts in Mono.
Displaying a Station Name
If “MONO” is displayed this means that the station
usually broadcasts in Mono only, or that the “Mono”
option has been selected in the menu. (See Page 29)
