Repairing the Electronics
Exchanging the Main PCB
You will need the following to exchange the PCB:
A PSION server (CAS version 4.4), or
A SARTOCAS program for PCs
Important Note: You should basically try to recover the data record from the defective PCB;
then store it. If this is no longer possible, the data record can be
downloaded from Goettingen.
Open the balance housing (see page 22).
Save data from the old main PCB.
Remove the PCBs and the enclosure (see page 22).
The precision resistor (R1) must be taken from the old PCB and soldered
onto the new PCB (201).
Install the new PCB and the enclosure (see page 22).
Close the balance housing (see page 23).
Important Note: Please note that you must program the new PCB using the specific data
record saved from the old one. After installing the new PCB, you must read
in the specific data record into the balance, using the SARTOCAS program
for PCs and laptops or the SARTORIUS MC1 Server (CAS version 4.4). See
the program description for instructions on this procedure.
Then adjust the linearity and span.
