Machining cylinder liner to desired height
1. Calculate the difference between the thick-
ness of the shim and how much you wish to
raise the cylinder liner. This difference is the
thickness of the layer which must be removed
with the cutter.
Example for calculating necessary cutting
depth:
Desired height 0.33mm
Measured cylinder liner 0.25mm
Raising cylinder liner,
0.33 - 0.25 = 0.08mm
Closest thickness of
shim 0.20mm
Layer to be removed,
0.20-0.08 = 0.12mm
2. Clean contact surfaces between tool and
blocksurface.Fitcutterincuttingheadby
lifting the speed feed ring.
3. Centre the tool with the centre roller.
Connect the magnet (position 1).
