of reach of children.
• Treatyourtoolsgently.Inthiswayyouwillbeableto
carryoutyourworkbetterandmorequickly.
• Use the correct tools. Do notusesmall tools for jobs
thatarebetteraccomplished withpowertools.Do not
usetoolsforpurposesforwhichtheywerenotmade:for
instance do not use a circular saw to cut a log or tree
stump.
• Wearappropriate clothing. Do not wearloose clothing
orjewellerywhichcouldgetcaughtinthemovingparts.
Nonslipshoesarerecommendedforworkoutofdoors.
If you have long hair, we recommend a hair net.
• Useprotectivegear.Wearsafetyglasses.Wearafaceor
dustmaskwhendustiscreatedintheprocessofsaw-
ing.
• Useadustcontrolunit.Ifequipmentfordustcontrolis
available, see that it is connected and correctly used.
• Becarefulwiththecables.Neverpullonacabletore-
movetheplugfromthesocket.Becarefulthatelectrical
cablesdonotcomeintocontactwithheat,oilorsharp
edges.
• Makesurethatyourtoolsaresecurelytted.Insofaras
itispossible,secureyourtoolswithclampsoravice.
These are more secure than your hands.
• Donotleanovertoofar.Alwayspayattentiontoasecure
positionandbalance.
• Becarefulwithyourtools.Besurethatthecuttingedges
aresharp and clean in orderto work better and more
securely.
• Followthemanufacturer’sinstructionsinthelubrication
andchangingofaccessories.Checkthemainelectrical
cable regularly, and ask an authorized service dealer
toexchangecablesshouldtheyprovetobedamaged.
Regularlychecktheextensionleadsandexchangethese
should they be damaged. Be sure that grips are dry,
clean and free from oil and dirt.
• Unplugyourtoolsfromtheelectricalsourcebeforethey
are serviced or before accessories such as blades, cut-
tersandotherpartsareexchanged.Theyshouldalsobe
unpluggedwhennotinuse.
• Removeadjustmentscrewsorspanners.Makeahabitof
checkingifadjustmentscrewsorspannersareremoved
before the tool is switched on.
• Avoidunintentionalstartups.Checkwhethertheon/off
switch is in the “off” position before plugging in the
main cable.
• Use extensionleads designed foroutdooruse. Should
you be using equipment out of doors, use extension
leadsthatareappropriatetothissituation.
• Beaware.Payattentiontowhatyouaredoing.Usesim-
plecommonsenseanddonotusethisequipmentwhen
you are tired.
• Examinedamagedparts.Beforeyoubegintoworkwith
thisequipment,youshouldcarefullyexamineittosee
if it can function according to your needs. Examine the
movable parts, their positions, and other factors that
couldinuencetheuseofthisequipment.Adamaged
protectiveguardorotherdefectivepartsshouldbecor-
rectlyrepairedorexchangedbythecustomerservicede-
partment,unlessthisdocumentindicatesotherwise.
• Warning: theuseofaccessoriesoradditionalequipment
other than that which is listed in this document is not
recommended, since there is a risk of bodily harm.
• Letaqualiedpersonrepairyourtools.Thiselectrical

qualiedperson,usingoriginalreplacementparts.Oth-

Additional Safety Measures for Crown and Mitre Box Saws

• Keepyourhandsawayfromtheimmediateworkarea.
• Thismachinemaynotbeoperatedwithoutthemanufac-
turer’ssafetymeasures.
• Protectiveglovesaretobewornwhenoperatingthema-
chine.
• Donotreachintotheareaofthesaw.
• Forthepurposesofremovingobstructionsortocheck
the machine, the machine must be turned off and no
longerbepluggedin.Thesawblademusthavecometo
rest before such maintenance work is commenced.
• Beforemaintenanceortochangethesawblade,always
unplugthemachine!
• Inordertoavoidanelectricalshock,workshouldnotbe
carriedoutintherainorinadampenvironment.
• Ignoringthesewarningscanleadtoseriousinjuriesfor
theoperator

• Replacethetablecoveringwhenitisworndown.

tor.
• Chooseasawbladewhichcorrespondstothematerialto
be cut.
• Checkthemaximumcutdepth.
• When cutting longer pieces, always use an extension
supportforbettergrip,andutilizeaviceorotherclamp-
ing mechanism.
• Wearearprotection.
WARNING! Noisecanhaveadversehealtheffects.Should
thenoiselevelincreaseabove85dB(A),youmustwear
earprotection
• The operators of the machine must be adequately
trained.
• Takecarethatthereisadequate roomandworkbench
lighting.
• Intheeventthatthemachineisequippedwithalaser,
nootherkindoflasermaybeused.Repairsmayonlybe
carried out by the laser manufacturer or an authorized
representative.
