8 Appendix 2: Replacing the communication module
This section describes the procedure to replace an existing communication module in the field.
1 Loosen the sealing screws on the existing communication module and pull out to detach completely.
Refer the figure below.
2 To fix the new communication module (plug on device), gently push it straight down into the module
cavity, ensuring that the male connector (on the communication module) and female connector (on the
meter) fit smoothly. Ensure that the connector pins are not bent or damaged during insertion. A
reference illustration is shown below.
