Precautions When Using High Pressure Gas Cylinders
When using gas cylinders, please observe the High Pressure Gas Safety Law, or the applicable laws for high pressure gas
cylinders governing the installation site.
<General Precautions When Using Gas Cylinders>
1. Place gas cylinders outdoors, in a well-ventilated location out of direct sunlight. Deliver the gas indoors via gas pipes.
2. Do not allow the gas cylinder to reach a temperature of 40 °C or more at any time. Do not allow any open flame to
come within 2 m of the cylinder.
3. When using high-pressure gas, pay special attention to ventilation and use soapy water or other methods to inspect for
leaks before initial operations. In particular, do not smoke or permit open flames within 5 m of any equipment using
combustible gases. Have an effective fire extinguisher ready.
4. Secure cylinders with rope or by other means to prevent them from tipping or falling over.
5. Use a pressure release valve designated as oil-less. Do not use valves with oil adhered to the inner surfaces of piping
or other areas that come into contact with the gas.
6. Close the main cylinder valve immediately when finished using the cylinder.
