Why is the PV display indication abnormal on my Shinko Controller?
    • M
      Mary HernandezJul 27, 2025
An abnormal or unstable PV display indication on your Shinko Controller could be due to several reasons. Ensure the sensor input or temperature unit is correctly selected and that the sensor correcting value is suitable. Verify the sensor specification is correct. AC leakage into the sensor circuit can also cause this issue; try using an ungrounded type sensor. Additionally, nearby equipment may be causing interference; keep such equipment away from the controller.

What to do if the temperature does not rise with Shinko Controller?
    • S
      smannAug 1, 2025
If the temperature isn't rising, the sensor may be faulty and needs replacement. Check that the sensor and control output terminals are securely connected to the instrument input terminals, and verify that the wiring of these terminals is correct.

Why is my Shinko JCS-33A PV display flashing?
    • K
      Kelly KellyAug 5, 2025
A flashing display on your Shinko Controller could indicate a burnt-out thermocouple, RTD, or DC voltage (0 to 1V DC). To check the sensor: * For Thermocouples: Short the input terminals; if a value around room temperature is indicated, the sensor may be burnt out. * For RTDs: Connect approximately 100 of resistance to the input terminals between A-B, and short between B-B; if approximately 0 (32 ) is indicated, the sensor may be burnt out. * For DC voltage (0 to 1V DC): Short the input terminals; if a scaling low limit value is indicated, the signal wire may be disconnected. Also, ensure the input terminals of the sensor are securely mounted to the instrument input terminals.

What to do if Shinko JCS-33A Controller PV display indicates Scaling low limit value?
    • E
      Edward BrooksAug 13, 2025
If the PV display continuously shows the value set during Scaling low limit setting, check if the input signal source for DC voltage (0 to 5V DC, 0 to 10V DC) or DC current (0 to 20mA DC) is disconnected. For DC voltage, if the input to the terminals is 0V DC and the scaling low limit value is indicated, the signal wire may be disconnected. For DC current, if the input is 0mA DC and the scaling low limit value is indicated, the signal wire may be disconnected. Also, verify that the input lead wire terminals for DC voltage or DC current are securely mounted to the instrument input terminals.

Why is the control output always OFF on my Shinko JCS-33A?
    • C
      cohenrebeccaAug 18, 2025
If the control output remains in an OFF status, the OUT1 or OUT2 high limit value may be set to 0% or less in Auxiliary function setting mode 2. Set it to a suitable value.

Why is the control output always ON on my Shinko JCS-33A?
    • V
      Valerie MillerAug 22, 2025
If the control output remains in an ON status, the OUT1 or OUT2 low limit value may be set to 100% or higher in Auxiliary function setting mode 2. Set it to a suitable value.
