4 START-UP AND PARAMETER SETTINGS
4.2.2.2 Addressing
Addressing when an optional MCU (Multi Control Unit) is fitted
Addressing according to the following Table is only necessary when connecting an optional
MCU (connector 3).
Termination for Modbus

Termination for Modbus

on plug connector 1. The termination jumper must be connected
to terminate the RS485.
Activation for analog current output
All 3 jumpers must be set for correct analog output (20 mA). These are set at the factory.
Scheduling for service interface
Termination for service interface on plug connector 3. The termination jumpers must be
plugged in for termination of the RS485 (e.g. when connecting the service kit adapter or
the MCU).
4.2.3 Measuring range parameterization
The measuring range parameters can be set directly on the device or via SOPAS ET (see
“Installing SOPAS ET”, page 40). This function allows setting the values for the analog
output.
Preparation
1 Make sure the Measuring range rotary switch (see “Processor board setting options”,
page 37) is set to position 0 (preset value).
2 Now use digital input 3 (plug connector 2, see “Device components DUSTHUNTER
SB30M”, page 14) to select between 2 different measuring ranges. These two
measuring ranges can be freely parameterized via SOPAS-ET (see “SOPAS ET menu:
Calibration function and limit values”, page 39).
3 Set relay 3 accordingly:
– DI3 inactive (+5V): Measuring range 1 (and calibration curve 1) used.
– DI3 active (V): Measuring range 2 (and calibration curve 2) used.
