4.3.1.6 Current measurement
The technology module measures the load current at the digital output. The measured value
of the current is returned as an S7 analog value in the MEASURED_CURRENT value in the
feedback interface (Page 76).
A valid measured value is available when the STS_ENABLE feedback bit is set after the first
period duration of the output sequence. The returned measured value is an average of the
measured values that were acquired over a time period of at least one period duration. If a
valid measured value is not available, the value 32767

is returned.
Note
In order to use
the current measurement, the high-speed output must be deactivated.

4.3.1.7 High-speed output
The high-speed output function enables an output frequency of a maximum of 100 kHz with
an output current of a maximum of 100 mA. A high-speed output generates very steep
edges. The high-speed output generates signals at a higher frequency, but provides a lower
maximum load current. The high-speed output is only available in two-channel operation.
The following table presents the minimum and maximum pulse duration, period duration and
frequency depending on whether or not the high-speed output is activated:
