Access via Local Phone
3 Administration
This chapter describes the configuration of every parameter available on the OpenStage 60/80
phones. For access via the local phone menu, see the following; for access using the web in-
terface, please refer to Section 2.5.1, “Access the Web Interface (WBM)”.
3.1 Access via Local Phone
1. Enter Numbers and Letters
The number keys on the keypad are assigned to multiple functions, i. e. number and letters.
On pressing a number key, a choice of different values appears underneath the input field.
For example, the „2“ key invokes „a b c 2“. If you want to enter the digit „2“, press the key
and hold it down until the choice disappears, which should take about 1 second. For enter-
ing any other value, simply step through the differents values by pressing the key repeat-
edly, and then wait about a second. If the value to be entered is followed by another value
which is derived from another key, you can press the new number key immediately without
waiting a second.
2. Access the Administration Menu
Press the
v key once or twice to activate the administration menu (the v key toggles be-
tween the user’s configuration menu and the administration menu). When the Admin menu
is active, you will be prompted to enter the administrator password. The default admin
password is „123456“. It is recommended to change the password (see Section 3.12,
“Password”) after your first login.

menu.

The data entered in input fields is parsed and controlled by the phone. Thus, data is
accepted only if it complies to the value range.
