3.8 How to bypass zones
Used keys:
ZONE

<BYPASS> 01…16 <ENTER>
Bypass any zone that cannot be closed. You may bypass selected zones prior to
arming. This feature is also used to temporarily exclude a faulty zone requiring re-
pair from service.
1. To bypass a selected zone, press <BYPASS>
Î The Bypass indicator lights up to indicate that the system is in bypass mode.
2. Enter the zone number (e.g. 01, 05, 16) for one or more zones
3. , Press <ENTER>
Î The Bypass button flashes to indicate bypassed zone(s).
To disable the bypassing of zones, press <BYPASS>, enter the zone number (e.g. 07, 13), then
press <ENTER>
Note: Disarming means that the bypassing of all zones is automatically disabled.
3.9 Using a chime
A chime (day zone) is a detector that can be partly armed while you are at home
but working in another part of the building. It can be programmed to operate a
buzzer or light to let you know that you have a visitor.
z To enable the Chime mode press <>.
z To disable the day (chime) zone, press <>
3.10 Control for outputs and devices
The keypad enables you to control external devices, such as an air-conditioner or
heater. To activate or stop a device:
1. Press <CTRL>.
2. Press the number of the output. (Up to eight different outputs can be controlled
via the keypad).
3. Press <ENTER>
Î This activates or deactivates the selected device.
4. Press <CTRL>.
5. Press <ENTER>to return to normal mode.
