(2) Release restriction related to door
Generally, spindle cannot be rotated while the front-side door is open due to safety.
However, for convenience of machine operation, spindle can be rotated with restriction
while the front-side door is open.
When front-side door is opened on a machine to which setting
key switch is attached.
- Key switch "OFF" : spindle cannot be rotated.
- Key switch "ON" : Rotation is possible at 50 rpm only.
When the front-side door is open in a machine where non of this switch is attached.
- Spindle cannot be rotated.
- In some limited areas, rotation is possible by jogging at 50 rpm.
1. The operations listed above are used restrictively depending on whether or not door
interlock release key or the safety switch is attached is attached to the operation
panel, and prior requests.
2. To operate spindle while door is open is very dangerous. Therefore, sufficient
verification and caution is necessary when operating. If not, machines may get
damaged and humans can get injured.
6.6 Spindle override operation
It can be used on changing actual rpm without changing
commanded rpm of spindle (S command rpm). Spindle speed
can be adjusted from 50% to 120% by 5% regardless of mode. For
example, if commanded rpm is 1000 rpm, spindle will rotate as
follows according to the status of spindle override.
50%:500 rpm, 80%:800 rpm, 100%:1000 rpm, 120%:1200 rpm.
However, in case of exceeding the maximum rpm of spindle, to
operate override cannot increase rpm
