Operating Conditions 
The following information applies to the HMI device, the connection boxes and connecting cables. The devices are designed 
for operation in a location protected from the effects of the weather. 
Contrary to what is stated in the operating instructions of the basic unit: The connection boxes from section "Connection 
boxes (Page 11)" and connecting cables from section "Connecting Cable (Page 11)" are released for the extended operating 
temperature range "Arctic" in combination with the HMI device.

Note 
Condensation endangers the interior of the device
 
After transporting the HMI device at low temperatures or if the HMI device has be
en exposed to temperature fluctuations, 
moisture can condense on the HMI device or inside the device (condensation). The device can be damaged with 
consequences for the machine or plant.
 
  Let the HMI device warm up to room temperature before switching it on. 
  Do not expose the HMI device to direct radiation from a heater to warm it up. 
•  In case of condensation, dry the HMI device completely or switch it on only after a waiting period of about 4 hours.
