7.4 Monitoring Functions
7.4.1 Overview
Function
The following individual functions are implemented:
 Temperature monitoring and excess/insufficient temperature indication
 Watchdog
 Fan monitoring
Messages from the monitoring modules can be transferred to applications.
The program SOM (Safecard On Motherboard) as well as drivers for Windows are
available on the units for this. The status can be displayed or limits parameterized
thereby.
You will find a description of the drivers and the SOM program on the
Documentation and Drivers CD in the \Drivers.*\Safeonbo.ard directory.
7.4.2 Signals on the Front Interface
The meaning of the indicators is as follows:
LED OFF GREEN RED
Watchdog Watchdog not active Watchdog active Watchdog executed
Temp Inside temperature
normal
Inside temperature out-
side the permissible ran-
ge.
FAN CPU starts, fan speed is
normal
CPU does not start or fan
speed is too low.
The fan status is only displayed when SOM or SOL is enabled.
