Also, when the C12 instrument is in monitoring off mode, the INFRA
Remote system can be used, but the operator must have physical access to
the instrument. Use the following procedure:
1. Perform a manual data server connection (upload) on C12 to
send the status file to the data server (see section 5.4.2).
2. Wait for the transfer of the status file.
3. Use INFRA Net to change parameter settings.
4. Do a manual data server connection again on the C12 to read the
new control file. The requested changes will then be performed.
The status and control files are named ‘IMnnnnn.status’ and
‘IMnnnnn.control’, where ‘nnnnn’ is the serial number of the C12.
Note! It is possible to remotely change the ‘communication’ parameters
stored in the ‘config’ directory of the CompactFlash. In this case Sigicom
support should be contacted.
Note! The ‘remote’ directory must exist on the data server before the
INFRA Remote system can be used.
Note! In the INFRA system in general, data logger and sensor nodes are
separated. As mentioned earlier in this manual, C12 is a compact variant
of this system. However, the INFRA Remote system is based on the
concept of a data logger separated from the sensor nodes. Therefore, some
of the settings in C12 are referred to as data logger (master) settings and
others as node settings.
