5 OPERATING GUIDE
Introduction
The Operating Gu ide belo w expl ains h ow to use the UNOCODE 399 PLUS wi thout a Person al
Computer.
All operations to manually use the key-cutting machine are explained step by step.
The programs available for Perso nal Computers connected to the key-cutting machine are able to
transmit data for cutting.
Programs for Personal Computer eliminate manual procedures of certain functions, once the data has
been transmitted to the machine it bypasses some of the operating guides screens.
If UNOCODE 399 PLUS is used with a PC, exclu de the manual mode pages when consulting the
operator’s handbook.
5.1 ON-BOARD KEYPAD AND FUNCTIONS

MENU key views the list of main functions
The MENU key is always active from any of the windows.
F1 - F2 - F3 - F4 function keys are used to select the on-screen options
Arrow direction keys (right/left/up/down) are used to move the cursor
(navigation) in the various fields on the screen that require the entry of values/
parameters
The CLEAR key is used to delete a single character
Press the SHIFT+CLEAR keys together to delete a whole line
SHIFT+ENTER keys pressed simultaneously allow one space to be inserted
when entering data
START key starts the procedure
STOP key cancels the operation and/or goes back to the previous menu
