15. See Figure D–15 Note the engagement of the cable
end in the throttle lever, and remove the throttle cable
from the hole in the throttle lever. Position the throttle
cable out of the way so that it does not interfere with
shift lever and lift lever service .
16. See Figure D–16. On models equipt with a choke,
loosen the choke cable clamp on the engine using a
screwdriver. Note the position of the choke lever and
the engagement of the cable end in the choke lever.

14 Using a 3/8" open end wrench, loosen the hex nut
that secures the throttle cable end clamp to the throt-
tle cable mounting bracket, and detach the clamp
from the bracket. Reinsert the screw and hex nut into
the clamp to prevent loss (Figure D–14).
