10 Click Ok to exit the Local Area Connection Properties
dialogue.

Close to exit the Local Area Connection Status
dialogue.
Setting up the General Purpose Transceiver(s)
Note that you will only need to perform this procedure the rst
time you switch on the echo sounder.
1 Start the ES60 application.
2 Open the
Install menu, and select Tr ansceiver installation.
3 Click
Modify to change the settings.
4 Observe that the General Purpose Transceiver(s) currently
connected to the computer appears automatically.
5 Click to select the rst transceiver, and choose transducer
using the
Tr ansducer Selection selector. Repeat for all
transceivers.
6 Click
Ok to close the dialogue.

Duplex interfaces
The following interfaces are set up for duplex (two-way)
communication.
Trawl instrumentation (ITI)
Catch monitoring systems ( PI family)
Trawl system interface
Communication with the Simrad ITI (Integrated Trawl
Instrumentation) is based on NMEA telegrams. This is a two-way
serial communication line, and the following information is
exchanged:
From ES60 to ITI: Sounder depth below surface ($SDDBS
telegram)
From ITI to ES60: Depth of trawl below surface ($IIDBS
telegram)
From ITI to ES60: Trawl headrope to footrope ($IIHFB
telegram)
Wiring procedure
1 Locate a free RS-232 serial port that can be used to connect
the ITI system.
