Fault repair
¼ Note: Maintenance must only be carried out after the equipment has been switched off.
Before commencing with repair work, ensure the spare part is available, and its condition has
been verified as good.
!
Warning: The replacement operations must be carried out exclusively by
skilled personnel with appropriate equipment training.
Magnetron replacement
Refer to “Magnetron replacement” on page 14.
Circulator replacement
1. On the electric switchboard, switch OFF the radar main breaker and place a card reading
WORK IN PROGRESS - DO NOT SWITCH ON
2. On the R5000 PSU, switch the power switch to the OFF position and place a card reading
WORK IN PROGRESS - DO NOT SWITCH ON
3. Remove the eight screws securing the cover
4. Remove the cover
5. Remove the plastic caps at the top of the SRT LAN down-mast transceiver. See “SRT LAN
down-mast transceiver” on page 8
6. From the external side, unscrew the spacer securing the Circulator to the Magnetron (A)
7. Remove the spacer
8. Remove the three screws securing the Circulator to the Magnetron (B)
9. Remove the four screws (C) securing the Circulator to the Limiter
10. Remove the four screws securing the Circulator to the Duplexer (D)
¼ Note: Make sure that the RF filter between the Circulator and the Duplexer does not move.
11. Remove the Circulator (E)

12. Remove the four screw securing the coupling flange to the Circulator
13. Remove the coupling flange
14. In order to install the new Circulator, perform the removal steps in reverse order
15. On the R5000 PSU, switch the power switch to the ON position and remove the card reading
WORK IN PROGRESS - DO NOT SWITCH ON
16. On the electric switchboard, set the radar main breaker to ON and remove the card reading
