3. Switch the safety switch to the OFF position
4. Remove the six nuts securing the electronics side cover
5. Move the cover towards the outside
¼ Note: When the covers are free ensure that the safety chain is properly anchored both to the
covers and the structure of the pedestal.
6. Open the cover
¼ Note: The covers should be supported by the chain. The top housing is very heavy and if
unsecured and accidentally allowed to close, it could cause serious injuries.
7. Outside the pedestal, unscrew and disconnect the RF antenna cable from the rotating joint
(A)
8. Secure the antenna to avoid any damage during removal
9. Remove the twelve nuts securing the antenna (B)
10. Remove the antenna
11. Remove the four nuts securing the rotating joint (C)
12. Unscrew and disconnect the RF cable from the lower part of the rotating joint
13. Remove the rotating joint

14. In order to install the new rotating joint, perform the removal steps in reverse order
15. Switch the safety switch to the ON position
16. On the R5000 PSU, switch the power switch to the ON position and remove the card reading
WORK IN PROGRESS - DO NOT SWITCH ON
17. On the electric switchboard, set the radar main breaker to ON and remove the card reading

RF cable replacement
1. On the electric switchboard, switch OFF the radar main breaker and place a card reading
WORK IN PROGRESS - DO NOT SWITCH ON
2. On the R5000 PSU, switch the power switch to the OFF position and place a card reading
WORK IN PROGRESS - DO NOT SWITCH ON
3. Switch the safety switch to the OFF position
