functionsforefcientuseoftheSU90.Unlessyouhidetheentiremenusystem,the
Mainmenuisvisibleatalltimes,evenifyouclosethesecondarymenus.

Bydefault,theMainmenuisopen.Itisplacedonthe
rightsideoftheSU90presentation.

interestareexplainedwithbriefdescriptions.For
detailedinformationabouteachfunctionanddialog
box,refertotheSU90Referencemanualorthecontext
sensitiveon-linehelp.
Tip
Ifyoudonotneedtousethemenusystem,youcanhideit.Thisallowsmorespacefor
theSU90presentation.
UseMenuonthetopbartohideorshowthemenu.
Whenthemenusystemishidden,itappearstemporarilyontheleftorright
handsideofthescreenifyoumovethecursortothatposition.
BelowtheMainmenuyoundtheiconsforopening(andclosing)thesecondarymenus.
Selectanicontoopentherelevantmenu,andreselecttheicontoclosethemenu.
UserSettings
TheUserSettingsdialogboxallowsyoutosavethecurrentusersettings(yourcurrent
selectionofoperationalparameters),andtoretrievefactoryorpreviouslysaveduser
settings.
Range
TheRangefunctionallowsyoutospecifythemaximumdistancefromthetransducer
totheouteredgeofthesonarbeam.Therangevalueshownandselectedisbydefault
onlyappliedtothecurrentlyselectedview.
Gain
ThepurposeoftheGainfunctionistoadjusttheecholevelintheSU90presentations.
ByadjustingthegainyoucancontrolhowmuchamplicationtheSU90applies
tothereceivedechoes.Thesettingisbydefaultonlyappliedtocurrentlyselected
echogram.Itisidentiedwithathickborder.

TheTiltfunctionallowsyoutocontroltheverticalangleofthesonarbeams.
