A self-test of the main unit control device is performed when powering up the device.
During the operation, each unit is monitored, and protection action will be done if any
abnormal situation occurs. Meanwhile the failure information is sent to the console and
failure warning signals are given, with the error code displayed on the kV window.
The operation of the whole circuit is monitored by the SYS board any time in the
operation.
In the standby stage, the SYS board will monitor the filament heating module. A failure
code will be shown if any failure is found in the fast heating process of the filament heating
module.
In the exposure process, the operating state of tube voltage, tube current and the inverter
is monitored by the SYS board. The exposure of the main unit will stop immediately if any
failure occurs in the exposure, so as to protect the X-ray tube and the generator
effectively.
