If the current exposure is completed normally, the collimator radiation field
indicator is turned off automatically.
b) The ruler at the bottom of the collimator is for measuring and deciding SID
distance, and for measuring thickness of the measured portion.
c) Here is the light field inspection of the collimator: keep the portable X-ray
machine horizontally, pull out the measuring ruler to 65cm, and vertically stand a
white board at the end to face the collimator, light up the collimator light, and the
collimator window is adjusted to its maximum. The light field border displayed on
the whiteboard is not larger than 35cm × 35cm.
d) If the LED is damaged but it is urgent for imaging, you can use the scale plate of
the collimator for confirmation.
e) The collimator with its rotating function. can be rotated by ± 90°.(option)
6.5 Program Update
The portable X-ray machine offer two ways for update.
Turn the rocker switch on the device back from "OFF" to "ON", and then turn on the device.
Turn it off after completing the normal startup. Wait for the shutdown to complete. Insert
the USB disk containing the update program "Update.bin" into the USB socket on the back
cover, long press the FN button on the control panel till the console gives the beep sound
and then release the button. Now the control panel digital tube displays "SET UP", which
means the system is being updated. After the update is successful, the kV digital tube
displays "999". If the display is "888" or other than "999", it means the update fails. After
successful update, you need to power off the device before restarting for use.
Insert the USB disk with the update program "Update.bin" into the USB socket on the back
cover to enter the engineering mode. In the engineering mode, select P15 "Control
program update" and press SAVE button. For the operation of the engineering mode, see
6.1.3 Engineering Mode Function and Operation.
