1. Lower position (from factory)
2. Shock rod in upper position
6. Reinstall stopper strap screw with a new nut.
Tightening Torque
Rear shock lower nut
24.5 ± 3.5 Nm
(18 ± 3 lbf-ft)
Stopper strap nut
10 ± 2 Nm
(89 ± 18 lbf-in)
7. Verify track tension and adjust if required.
Rear Shock Compression Damping (If Equipped)
Note: Both low and high speed compression damping are
adjusted simultaneously.
Low speed compression damping controls how the shock ab-
sorber reacts to a low suspension velocity (slow compression
strokes, in most cases when riding at lower speeds).
High speed compression damping controls how the shock ab-
sorber reacts to a high suspension velocity (quick compression
strokes, in most cases when riding at higher speeds).
