Problem Cause and corrective measures
Message in the system logbook:
EM gateway not found:
XXXX, name:
The gateway is not connected to the local network.
Corrective measures:
• Check whether all network cable plugs are inserted and locked.
Message in the system logbook:
EM gateway not found:
XXXX, name:
The voltage supply of the gateway is faulty.
Corrective measures:
• Check whether the power plug of the gateway is plugged into the outlet.
Message in the system logbook:
EM gateway not found:
XXXX, name:
The gateway could not be found by the SunnyHomeManager.
Corrective measures:
• Restart the gateway (see manual of the gateway).
Message in the system logbook:
EM gateway not found:
XXXX, name:
The SunnyHomeManager and the gateway are located in different local
networks.
Corrective measures:
• Connect the gateway and the SunnyHomeManager to the same
network switch/router.
Message in the system logbook:
EM gateway not found:
XXXX, name:
The SunnyHomeManager and the gateway are configured for different IP
subnets.
Corrective measures:
• If your router supports DHCP, configure the SunnyHomeManager
(default setting) and the gateway to DHCP (see manual of the gateway).
• If your router does not support DHCP, manually assign IP addresses in
the same subnet for the SunnyHomeManager and the gateway (see
manual of the respective device).
Message in the system logbook:

Corrective measures:
• Check whether the power plug of the device is plugged into the outlet.

is working. The device might be outside the range of its gateway (e.g.
with power-line communication).

Corrective measures:
• Restart the device (see manual of the device).

One or more devices are not correctly configured in the gateway or for the

• Configure the device for its gateway (see manual of the gateway).
• Configure the device for the smart grid (see manual of the respective
device).
