• Some loads require that the security key "SKI" (Subject Key Indentifier) of the Sunny Home Manager is known
when pairing. You can find the SKI device identifier of the SunnyHomeManager in SunnyPortal in the Device
overview in the Properties on the Parameters tab of the Sunny Home Manager under EEBUS SKI device
identifier.
Activating the EEBus Protocol
By activating the EEBus protocol, you enable devices with an EEBus interface to connect to the SunnyHomeManager.

Procedure:
1. Call up the Properties of the HomeManager under Configuration > Device overview in SunnyPortal.
2. Click on [Edit] on the device tab.
3. In the View line, click on Complex configuration.
4. Go to SMA SMART HOME Settings and select Active under EEBUS protocol:.
5. Activate EEBus in the loads (see manufacturer's manual).
Pairing EEBus devices
A time window of 2 minutes is available for pairing the devices.
Procedure:
1. In the Sunny Home Manager, in the EEBUS protocol line, click on the info text --> Pairing EEBUS loads? and
confirm the pairing in the pop-up window that opens with [Pairing].
2. Then initiate pairing at the load within 2 minutes (see manufacturer's manual).
3. In the case of the load, add the SunnyHomeManager as a known EEBus device. When prompted, enter or
confirm the SKI device identifier of the SunnyHomeManager.
☑ The new load is displayed at Device Overview > Overview of New Devices in SunnyPortal.
4. Add the new load to the system (see Section11.2.2, page54).
☑ The new load is automatically displayed on the page Load Overview and Planning.
If necessary, you can use the button to open the Load characteristics page and make further settings.
11.7 Replacing the SunnyHomeManager
If you need to replace the SunnyHomeManager, you must use the system setup assistant (see Section9.1,
page29).
Requirements:
☐ You must have the user role Installer or PV System Administrator (see Section16.1, page114).
☐ The SunnyHomeManager to be replaced must have been decommissioned (see Section19.1, page134).
☐ The new SunnyHomeManager must be reset prior to the replacement:
– Ex works (new device)
– Manually (already used device)
☐ The new SunnyHomeManager must have been commissioned:
– The new SunnyHomeManager must be connected to the router (see Section8.3.2, page26).
– The new SunnyHomeManager must be supplied with voltage (see Section8.2, page23).
☐ The serial number and the registration ID of the new SunnyHomeManager are available. These data can be
found on the type label attached on the side of the device or on the label provided.
