Some loads require that the security key "SKI" (Subject Key Indentifier) of the Sunny Home Manager is known
when pairing. You can find the SKI device identifier of the SunnyHomeManager in SunnyPortal in the Device
overview in the Properties on the Parameters tab of the Sunny Home Manager under EEBUS SKI device
identifier.
Activating the EEBus Protocol
By activating the EEBus protocol, you enable devices with an EEBus interface to connect to the SunnyHomeManager.

Procedure:
1. Call up the Properties of the HomeManager under Configuration > Device overview in SunnyPortal.
2. Click on [Edit] on the device tab.
3. In the View line, click on Complex configuration.
4. Go to SMA SMART HOME Settings and select Active under EEBUS protocol:.
5. Activate EEBus in the loads (see manufacturer's manual).
Pairing EEBus devices
A time window of 2 minutes is available for pairing the devices.
Procedure:
1. In the Sunny Home Manager, in the EEBUS protocol line, click on the info text --> Pairing EEBUS loads? and
confirm the pairing in the pop-up window that opens with [Pairing].
2. Then initiate pairing at the load within 2 minutes (see manufacturer's manual).
3. In the case of the load, add the SunnyHomeManager as a known EEBus device. When prompted, enter or
confirm the SKI device identifier of the SunnyHomeManager.
The new load is displayed at Device Overview > Overview of New Devices in SunnyPortal.
4. Add the new load to the system (see Section11.2.2, page54).
The new load is automatically displayed on the page Load Overview and Planning.
If necessary, you can use the button to open the Load characteristics page and make further settings.
11.7 Replacing the SunnyHomeManager
If you need to replace the SunnyHomeManager, you must use the system setup assistant (see Section9.1,
page29).
Requirements:
You must have the user role Installer or PV System Administrator (see Section16.1, page114).
The SunnyHomeManager to be replaced must have been decommissioned (see Section19.1, page134).
The new SunnyHomeManager must be reset prior to the replacement:
Ex works (new device)
Manually (already used device)
The new SunnyHomeManager must have been commissioned:
The new SunnyHomeManager must be connected to the router (see Section8.3.2, page26).
The new SunnyHomeManager must be supplied with voltage (see Section8.2, page23).
The serial number and the registration ID of the new SunnyHomeManager are available. These data can be
found on the type label attached on the side of the device or on the label provided.
