Using fiber optic cable, the 100BASE-FX port can be connected to
a remote site up to 20 km (12.43 miles) away. The 100BASE-FX
module operates at 100 Mbps, with support for full-duplex mode
and flow control. This module is fitted with an SC connector.

a remote site up to 2 km (1.24 miles) away. The 100BASE-FX
module operates at 100 Mbps, with support for full-duplex mode
and flow control. This module is fitted with an SC connector, but
you can attach an ST plug to the switch using the SC-ST Converter
(Part Number: 99-012034-091).
