6.7.14 Settings in the setting mode
You can use the parameters in the setting mode to adapt the Counting application program to your individual
requirements.
To call up the setting mode, press the F6 Setting mode key in the Setting functions level and call up the
program settings there with F6 Apply.
F6 Continue calls up the program settings for the selected application program.
3 Counting
Standard reference pieces Enter the standard reference sample quantity using the numeric keypad in pieces
e.g. 10. Appears in program Counting under key F1 e.g. Ref 10
Factory setting: 10
Minimum reference weight Enter the minimum reference weight using the numeric keypad.
The minimum reference weight applies to the total weight of the reference parts.
The calculation is based on the smallest digit (d) of the scale.
The factory setting is 10 digits.
Values between 1 and 50 are possible.
Example of a scale with 1 g digits:
The factory setting is 10 d = 10 g for the total weight of the reference parts.
If you reduce the factory setting to 5 d, the scale will accept 5 g as
Minimum weight for the total weight of the reference parts.
If you increase the factory setting to 20 d, the scale will require a minimum weight
of 20 g for the total weight of the reference parts.
When the ADD mode is activated, the scale requests the missing parts until the
minimum reference weight is reached. If the calculated reference weight is less
than 10% of the smallest digit of the scale, the error message "Error 04 Reference
weight too small" appears.
Reference weight
optimization
Enter percentage
The scale optimizes the reference weight when additional parts are loaded.
The upper limit of the optimization is entered as a percentage of the weighing
range.
Example: 50% of the weighing range 60 kg, optimization up to 30 kg.
Example: 0%, optimization switched off.
Add mode Selection: off or on, factory setting: on
If "on" is selected, the display unit requests the missing parts with a message (Add
xx pieces) until the minimum reference weight is reached.
Optimization delay Enter the value for the speed of the reference weight calculation and the reference
weight optimization between 500 and 5,000 milliseconds. Factory setting 500ms. If
unstable ambient conditions lead to inaccurate reference weights, the calculation
time can be extended to obtain more accurate reference weights.
Default reference scale Selection: None, scale 1, scale 2, scale 3, ...
Specifies which scale is to be used to determine the reference weight. If you press
REF10 or REFVariabel, the reference weight display automatically switches to the
scale specified here. After the reference weight has been determined, the display
returns to the last mass comparator selected.
Factory setting: none
