Recording a picture
Tile LCD panel is opened up to 90 degrees and it rotates about 90 degrees to tile
viewfinder side and about 180 degrees to tile lens side.
If you turn tile LCD panel over so that it faces tile other way in standby or recording
mode, the _ indicator appears on tile LCD screen and in the viewfinder (Mirror
mode).

To close tile LCD panel, set it vertically and swing it into tile camcorder body until it
clicks.
Note
When opening tile LCD panel, tile viewfinder is automatically turned off', however, it is
not turned off wrtlen the LCD panel is turned over or the camcorder is in mirror mode.
When you use the LCD screen outdoors in direct sunlight
Tile LCD screen may be difficult to see. If this happens, we l'ecommend that you use tile
viewfinder.
When you adjust the angle of the LCD panel
Make sure that tile LCD panel is opened up to 90 degrees.
When using both the LCD screen and the viewfinder during shooting
Tile usable time of tile battery pack when using both tile LCD screen and tile viewfinder
will be shorter a little than when using the viewfinder only.
Pictures in the mirror mode
Tile picture on tile LCD screen is a mirror-image. However, tile recording picture will
be normal.
During recording in mirror mode
ZERO SET MEMORY on tile Remote Commander does not work.
Indicators in the mirror mode
Tile STBY indicator appears as OII and REC as O. Some of tile other indicators appear
mirror reversed and others are not displayed. However, if you close tile LCD panel
with tile LCD screen turned over, indicators appear normally.
