Recording video or TV programs
If your VCR is a monaural type
Connect the yellow plug of tile A/V connecting cable to the video output jack and the
white plug to the audio output jack on the VCR or tile TV. Tile red plugs are not used.
Connect using an S video cable (not supplied) to obtain high-quality pictures
With this connection, you do not need to connect tile yellow (video) plug of tile A/V
connecting cable.
Connect an S video cable (not supplied) to tile S video jacks of both your camcorder and
tile VCR.
This connection produces higher quality DV format pictures.
If you do various playbacks on the VCR during recording
Tile recorded picture may be bhnTed.
On the commander mode
Your camcorder works in tile commander mode, VTR 2. Commander modes 1, 2 and 3
are used to distinguisll your camcorder from other Sony VCRs to avoid remote control
misoperation. If you use another Sony VCR in tile commander mode VTR 2, we
recommend changing tile commander mode or covering the sensor of tile VCR with
black paper.
On index signal
Tile index is automatically marked on a tape when you start recording. If you mark tile
index using tile INDEX MARK button during recording, "LINE" appears in tile CH
cohmm on tile INDEX SEARCH screen, and the index is recorded on cassette memory.
