The Reader cannot turn on.
q
Moisture condensation may have occurred. Wait for a few
hours and then turn on the Reader.
q
Battery power has been fully depleted. Charge the
Reader by connecting to the computer via the supplied
USB cable (
r
12).
Screen
Display takes a long time to appear.
q
In a cold place such as outdoors, it may take time for the
display to appear. This is due to the display characteristics
and not a malfunction.
q
It may take a few moments for the Reader start-up screen
to appear after a reset or shutdown.
The screen is frozen.
q
Reset the Reader by pressing the RESET hole. Then, slide
the power switch to turn on the Reader again (
r
8).
Touch operation is not effective.
q
If condensation occurs in the touch screen, or dust
attaches to the touch screen, it may cause a malfunction.

If any objects are placed on the touch screen, it may
cause a malfunction. When not in use, leave the Reader in
sleep mode, or shut it down.
A page in the Reader Store is not displayed properly.
q
The wireless connection may have been interrupted.
Make sure the WIRELESS switch is set to “ON” and a
wireless network is available (
r
xx), then refresh the
page using [Refresh Page] in the OPTIONS menu (
r
xx).
