2H : 2-Wheel Drive, High

Rear-wheel drive mode. This is used under normal or high-

speed driving conditions on public roads or highways.

4H : 4-Wheel Drive, High

This is used under sandy, muddy or snow-covered road conditions.

4L : 4-Wheel Drive, Low

Use this position for maximun traction.

4-WHEEL DRIVE SWITCH

Only for part time TC, not equpped with 2-wheel drive vehicle

Select a proper driving mode according to the road conditions.

• Do not drive your vehicle over 80 km/h in 4H mode.

CAUTION

Shifting is possible while driving at the speed of 70 km/h

or less.

• When shifting the driving mode to “4H”, this

indicate comes on.

• When shifting the driving mode from “4L”

to “4H”, the light blinks during shifting and

comes on after completely shifting.

2H ⇔ 4H

• For vehicles equipped with automatic transmission,

stop the vehicle on level ground and move the gear se-

lector lever into the “N” position. Turn the switch to the

desired position.

• For vehicle equipped with manual transmission, stop

the vehicle on level ground and move the gear selector

lever into the “N” position. Then turn the switch to the

desired position while depressing the clutch pedal.

Completely shifting to “4L” turns on the light.

Light blinks during shifting to “4L”.

2H, 4H ⇔ 4L
