MTU: The MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) setting specifi es the largest packet size
permitted for network transmission. Most DSL users should use the value 1492.You can set
the MTU manually, and you should leave this value in the 1200 to 1500 range. If the value
you set is not in accord with the value of your service provider, it may causes problems.

Change the administrator password
COM-818 default password is “admin” and is displayed in the indicator when accessed
from the web browser. You should change the password to avoid security risks, this is very
important when you have the wireless function enabled.
To change the password, follow these instructions: give click Administration, the following
screen appears:
When you are fi nished, click “Apply”; if you want to keep the original password, click on
“Reset”.
