– Clean spark plug. (@)
– Adapt cutting level and driving speed to
the mowing conditions.
Fault:
Engine overheating.
Possible cause:
– Dirty cooling ribs.
– Engine oil level too low.

Remedy:
– Clean cooling ribs. (@)
– Check the engine oil level and top up
the engine oil if necessary. (Ö 14.13)

specified torque. (Ö 14.7)
– Tighten engine mounting. (#)
– Replace V-belt. (#)
– Clean discharge chute. (#)
Fault:
Poor cut, lawn turns yellow after mowing.
Possible cause:
– Mowing blade blunt or worn.
– Driving speed too fast in relation to
mowing conditions (cutting height, lawn
condition).
– Maximum engine speed not set (throttle
lever not in MAX position).
– Mowing deck adjustment not OK.
– Discharge chute blocked.
– Mowing deck soiled with grass residues
(deposits on inside of mowing deck
housing).
Remedy:
– Sharpen or replace mowing blade
(observe wear limits). (Ö 14.7)
– Reduce driving speed and select a
higher cutting height.
– Set throttle lever to the MAX position.
(Ö 8.2)
– Check mowing deck adjustment and re-
adjust mowing deck if necessary.
(Ö 14.8)
– Remove grass catcher box and free
discharge chute from grass residues.

Fault:
Discharge chute blocked.
Possible cause:
– Mowing blade wing worn or damaged.
– Mowing grass which is too long or too
wet.
– Driving speed too high in relation to set
cutting height.
– Maximum engine speed not set (throttle
lever not in MAX position).
– Level sensor adjusted incorrectly.
Remedy:
– Replace mowing blade. (Ö 14.7)
– Mow lawn in two stages: 1. Mowing at
highest cutting level.
2. Mowing at desired cutting height.
– Reduce driving speed and select a
higher cutting height.
– Set throttle lever to the MAX position.
(Ö 8.2)
– Adjust level sensor (pull slide out fully).
(Ö 8.15)
Fault:
Grass catcher box not being completely
filled.
Possible cause:
– Level sensor incorrectly adjusted.
– Cutting height set too low.
– Grass is excessively damp and
consequently too heavy to be
transported through the discharge
chute in the grass catcher box.
– Mowing blade is blunt or worn.
