– Air holes in the grass catcher box 
blocked (no air flow in grass catcher 
box).
– Discharge chute or mowing deck 
(inside) soiled through deposited grass 
residues (residue from last mowing 
operation).
Remedy:
– Adjust level sensor. (Ö 8.15)
– Set a higher cutting height.
– Wait until the lawn is dry.
– Sharpen or replace the mowing blade.

– Mow the lawn in two stages: 
1. Mowing at the highest cutting level, 
2. Mowing at the desired cutting height.
– Clean the grass catcher box (clean air 
holes).
– Clean discharge chute or inside of 
mowing deck.
Fault:
Level sensor (grass catcher box) does not 
respond properly.
Possible cause:
– Level sensor (grass catcher box) soiled 
through grass residues.
– Level sensor (grass catcher box) 
incorrectly adjusted.
– Driving speed too high.
Remedy:
– Clean the level sensor and check for 
ease of movement.
– Adjust level sensor (grass catcher box).

– Adapt driving speed to the mowing 
conditions (reduce driving speed).
Fault:
Mowing blade does not switch on/does not 
turn.
Possible cause:
– The safety devices are preventing 
activation of the mowing blade.
– V-belt (mowing deck) worn, detached or 
defective.
Remedy:
– Check whether all the safety 
requirements for activation of the 
mowing blade are met. (Ö 11.)
– Check V-belt (mowing deck) and 
replace if necessary. (#)
Fault:
Engine cuts out when mowing deck 
activated.
Possible cause:
– User not sitting or not properly 
positioned on driver's seat.
– Seat switch or wiring defective.
– Grass catcher box switch not actuated 
or defective.
Remedy:
– Sit on driver's seat or change seat 
position.
– Repair/replace seat switch or wiring.

– Install grass catcher box or deflector 
(not included in standard equipment), or 
repair/replace grass catcher box switch.

Fault:
Mowing deck disengaged when mowing in 
reverse driving direction.
Possible cause:
– Reverse mowing safety switch not 
pressed.
Remedy:
– Release the mowing blades within the 
time window (5 seconds before to 
1 second after engaging the mowing 
deck or changing the driving direction).

Fault:
Engine cuts out when user leaves driver's 
seat.
Possible cause:
– Parking brake not engaged.
– Mowing deck engaged (safety device).
Remedy:
– Engage the parking brake before 
leaving the driver's seat. (Ö 8.10)
– Disengage the mowing deck before 
leaving the driver's seat. (Ö 8.3)
Fault:
Three acoustic signals sound in quick 
succession.
Possible cause:
– Fault in seat switch or electrics (short 
circuit).
Remedy:
– Turn ignition key to "engine off" 
position, carry out self-diagnosis.
