Loading trailers
NOTE
Below is a list of guidelines. This list is not ex-
haustive.
DANGER
Risk of accident
Never exceed the maximum loads shown! These
values apply to compact and homogeneous loads
It is not permitted to incorrectly load or climb onto
the trailer.
Make sure that the loads are evenly distrib-
uted in the trailer, and check that they are
properly secured. Do not exceed the per-
missible load.
Put heavy loads at the bottom and lighter
loads on top.
The centre of gravity should be as low as
possible.
Never load a trailer on a slope.
Do not exceed the trailer and truck load ca-
pacities.
Never transport passengers on a trailer.
Towing a trailer
Braked trailers are not required for loads
weighing less than 2.5 tonnes. For loads
weighing more than 2.5 tonnes, all trailers are
considered to be braked.
DANGER
Risk of accident
Do not manoeuvre the trailers on an incline.
You must understand how to operate any
braking systems fitted on towed trailers.
Ensure that the trailer load is secure, stable
and evenly distributed on the trailer.
Ensure that the strength of the coupling is
compatible with the weight of the load.
