7 Assembly and setting up
Checking protective devices
Machine with comb
take-down:
Comb safety door (5)
◆ Pull engaging rod to highest position and release.
The carriage pulls out.
◆ Slide the comb safety door to the left. A recessed
grip is located on the right-hand side of the comb
cover plate. Caution! The comb safety door is
tilted a little outwards.
◆ The carriage must be stopped immediately The
touch screen displays an error message.
◆ Close comb safety door again.
To confirm the calibration, tap the
key.
Condition: The carriage has stopped.
◆ Call up the "Comb take-down" window
and tap the "=-=" key (in waiting position).
◆ The comb take-down moves upward.
◆ Wait briefly (2-3 seconds). The comb take-down
releases the comb safety door, it tilts somewhat
to the front.
◆ Gently push the comb safety door backwards.
◆ The upward movement of the comb must be
stopped immediately. The touch screen displays
an error message.
◆ To confirm the calibration, tap the key.
◆ Carry out a comb reference run so that the comb
take-down moves again into home position.
In the "Comb take-down" window, tap the "=R="
key (Comb reference run).
