Procedure
1. Select suitable tubes to connect the external
cooling unit and the low-temperature polishing unit.
The tubes to be connected to the polishing unit
must have an internal diameter of 6mm.
Note
For very low temperatures the tubes
must be insulated.
2. Connect the water outlet from the external cooling
unit to the water inlet on the back of the polishing
unit.
3. Lead the water outlet tube into the external cooling
unit.
A Cooling fluid inlet
B Cooling fluid outlet
C Communication to control unit
Note
The temperature of the electrolyte is controlled through the external cooling unit.
Make sure that the temperature is set correctly, and calculate with a certain loss
because of the tubing. This means that the temperature setting for the external
cooling unit must be lower than the setting of the temperature for the electrolyte.
5.8 Noise
For information on the sound pressure level value, see this section: Noise and vibration levels ►30.
CAUTION
Prolonged exposure to loud noises may cause permanent damage to a person’s
hearing.
Use hearing protection if the exposure to noise exceeds the levels set by local
regulations.
5.9 Vibration
For information on the total vibration exposure to hand and arm, see this section: Noise and vibration
levels ►30.
6 Operate the device
CAUTION
Do not use the machine with non-compatible accessories or consumables.
For instructions on how to operate the device, see the LectroPol-5 Control unit instruction manual.
