Align method Sets fiber alignment method. Choose
from “Core”, “Diameter” and “Adaptive”.
“Core”…Aligns the center of the cores of
right and left optical fibers.
“Diameter”…Aligns the center of the
diameters of right and left optical fibers.
“Adaptive”…is useful in splicing optical
fiber with complicated core profile.

AIAS When core to cladding concentricity is
high, surface tension pulls the claddings
into alignment and misaligns the cores,
having an effect on splice losses. The
splicer automatically performs an axis
shift prior to arc fusion to minimize the

Estimation Mode Sets the loss estimation method to
“High(HDCM)” or “Standard”. If “High” is
chosen, the splicer will observe and

high precision after fusion splicing.

Proof Test Enables or disables the proof test to be
performed after splicing. If disabled, the
proof test is not performed by pressing
