2.2.6 Voltage-free Operations
Perform operations on the PCS only when all devices inside the PCS are completely
voltage-free.
• Avoid any accidental re-connections.
• Verify that no voltage or current is present with appropriate testing devices.
• Grounding whenever necessary.
• Cover possible live parts to avoid accidental contact.
• Ensure a clear escape route.
• Wait at least 5 minutes after the PCS stops completely to ensure that the PCS is
completely voltage-free.
2.2.7 ESD Protection
Devices may be damaged irreversibly by electrostatic discharge (ESD).
• Avoid unnecessary touching of the PCB.
• Observe all the ESD-related safety instructions. Wear proper personal
protective equipment (PPE), like wrist strap.
2.2.8 Web Parameter Setting
Some settable Web parameters are closely related to the operation of the PCS and internal
devices, therefore these parameters can only be modified after reliable evaluation of the
system.
• Improper parameter setting may affect the functionality of the device.
• Only qualified personnel can set the parameters.
2.2.9 Sand and Moisture Protection
Do not open the PCS door in sand storm, thunderstorm, strong wind or hail days or when
the ambient humidity is above 95%.
2.2.10 Markings on PCS
Symbols on the devices body contain important information on the safe operation of the
PCS and its internal devices. Do not tear or damage them!
Do not damage or tear the symbols.
• All markings on the device body must be clearly visible.
• Replace the markings once they are damaged or unclear.
