Ambient and geological conditions, such as stress wave emissions and underground
water level, should be taken into account.
The installation site should be dry and well ventilated, and far away from inflammable
materials.
The soil at the installation site should be compact. It is recommended that the relative
density of soil at the installation site be no less than 98%. Take relevant measures to en-
sure a stable foundation in case of loose soil
5.3.2 Foundation Requirements
Pay attention to the heavy weight of the PCS. Check thoroughly the conditions of
the installation site (mainly the geographical and environmental conditions). Then
design and construct the foundation.
Improper foundation construction may affect the opening and close of the door and later
maintenance of the PCS. Therefore, the foundation must be designed and constructed ac-
cording to related standard. The dimensions and weight of the PCS, the cable route, and lat-
er maintenance should be considered at all times.
The following conditions must be fulfilled:
The bottom of foundation should be firm enough.
The foundation can bear the weight of the PCS.
The foundation should be at least 100mm higher than the ground surface on site to
avoid the rain damaging the base or the inside of the PCS.
Each foundation should be 500mm to 600mm wide.
The length and width of the foundation must be at least 200 mm longer than those of the
PCS.
Sufficient cross-sectional area and depth of the foundation should be maintained. The
depth is designed according to local soil conditions.
Cable route should be taken into account.
According to the cable design of PCS and for easy electrical connection,
please establish cable trenches on the bottom of the PCS, i.e. reserve the ca-
ble trenches inside the foundation and pre-bury the wire pipes.
The material dug out should be cleared immediately.
