• Ensure all the cable connections are secure and all bolts are fixed properly.
• Ensure DC side voltage meets the PCS requirements and the polarities are correct.
• Ensure AC side voltage meets the PCS requirements.
• Ensure all cable connections meet the requirements of related standards and regulations.
• Ensure the system is properly grounded. Sound ground resistance ensures the safety of
the whole system. Make sure the ground resistance meets the requirement (ground re-
sistance should be no more than 4Ω).
Perform the following inspections. If the corresponding requirements have been
met, the transformer can be put into use:
• For the transformer left unused or out of service for 1-6 months, measure its in-
sulation resistance with an insulation resistance tester before restarting power
supply;
• For the transformer left unused or out of service for over 6 months, conduct in-
sulation resistance ,insulation withstand voltage and insulating oil voltage tests
on it before restarting power supply.
All operation during commissioning must be performed by qualified personnel
only.
Commission the device in fine days and the environmental conditions should be
stable to ensure the successful commissioning.
7.3 Checking Before Commissioning
7.3.1 Checking Cable Connection
• Check cables for any possible damages or cracks.
• Check that all cables are connected securely according to the cable connection diagram.
Adjust the cable connection if necessary.
• Ensure all cable connections are firmly enough. Fix the bolts if necessary.
• Check the PE equipotential connection. Ensure the PE ground point of internal devices
has been connected to the equipotential connection point in the PCS and properly
grounded.
