Serial Port Mode
This feature allows the user to set the serial port mode for Console Redirection.
The options are SOL and COM.
Device Settings
This feature indicates whether or not a reset is required for a serial port specifi ed.
Change Settings
This option specifi es the base I/O port address and the Interrupt Request address
of Serial Port 1 and Serial Port 2. The options for Serial Port 1 and Port 2 are:
Auto,
IO=3F8h; IRQ=4;
IO=3F8h; IRQ=3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12;
IO=2F8h; IRQ=3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12;
IO=3E8h; IRQ=3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12;
IO=2E8h; IRQ=3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12;
Serial Port Console Redirection
These submenus allow the user to confi gure the following Console Redirection
settings for a COM Port 0 or COM Port 1 as specifi ed by the user.
COM 0/COM 1
Console Redirection
Select Enabled to use a COM Port selected by the user for Console Redirection.
The options are Enabled and Disabled. (The default setting for COM0 is Disabled,
and for COM1 is Enabled.)
Console Redirection Settings
This feature allows the user to specify how the host computer will exchange
data with the client computer, which is the remote computer used by the user.
Terminal Type
This feature allows the user to select the target terminal emulation type for
Console Redirection. Selet VT100 to use the ASCII character set. Select VT100+
to add color and function key support. Select ANSI to use the extended ASCII
character set. Select VT-UTF8 to use UTF8 encoding to map Unicode characters
into one or more bytes. The options are ANSI, VT100, VT100+, and VT-UTF8.
