Sets
a
search
path
for
data
files.
Parameters
pathlWme specifies
the
drives and/or directories
that
MS-DOS
searches
for a
data
file.
Notes
and
Suggestions
You
can
specify more
than
one
path
to
search
by
separating
each
path
with
a semicolon (;l.
If
you
use
the
Append
command
with
no options, MS-DOS
displays
the
current
data
path.
Append ;
sets
no
data
path.
MS-DOS searches only
the
working
direc-
tory
for
data
files.
Append
searches
the
data
path
for
all
files,
regardless
of
their
file extensions, only
with
the
following MS-DOS
system
calls:

Get
File
Size

Open
Handle
You
can
use
the
Append command across a
network
to locate
remote
data
files.
If
you
are
using
both
the
MS-DOS
Assign
and
Append com-
mands,
you
must
type
the
Append
command
before Assign.
